Why we built Kiddoz

We're Dimitris and Chrysa, software engineers and parents of a three-year-old in preschool. Like many parents, we relied on our school's photo-sharing app. And like many schools, the tool was slow, clunky, and frustrating for teachers and families alike. That experience made something clear to us: early-childhood education deserves technology that is simple, secure, and designed with real classroom constraints in mind.

As engineers, we've spent years building products that need to work reliably at scale. As parents, we've experienced firsthand how much communication matters — and how often the available tools fall short.

Kiddoz was created to bridge that gap.

We set out to design a photo-sharing and communication platform that respects teachers' time, protects children's privacy, and gives families a meaningful window into the school day. No noise, no complexity, no "enterprise software" mindset — just thoughtful, modern tools built for real classrooms.

Kiddoz is built independently, without ads, tracking, or hidden agendas. We build with schools, not for them — listening, iterating, and improving based on real-world use. And we maintain the same standard we started with: would we want our own daughter's preschool to use this?
